About Penny

Penny started Barrel Racing in Florida in 2008 after she aquired a young cow horse. His name is Digger (pictured left, with Penny) and a love affair soon ensued. She also enjoys Pole Bending & Pole Weaving.

Besides Barrel Racing at every oppurtunity, Penny also enjoys her full time job as a Concrete Truck driver for Hansen Concrete, in Lakefield, MN. In Florida, she worked as a Tower Crane Operator for Allied Crane Service, in Naples, FL. She is hard working, industrious and enjoys her life as a Country Girl living and working on her small ranch (Serenity Ranch MN, Okabena, MN) where she raises Chickens (egg & meat) Geese, Goats, Sheep and of course, Horses.

Currently Penny enjoys racing every chance she gets throughout the Minnesota, Iowa and South dakota area. She is the oldest of six siblngs, with a brother and four sisters. She has three children of her own.

Goals

Penny's dream is to qualify for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. She may have a little way to go before she gets there, but she maintains the dream and has the drive to accomplish it.
